There are many hotels, guest houses, and pensions in Kathmandu alone.  I will be happy to make reservations for you.  As a guide I am often able to get better prices than those advertised.  Here is a sampling of a wide range of hotels in Kathmandu.

Five-Star Hotels

Average price for these rooms is approximately $200 and higher.

Hyatt Regency

Located 4 km from the airport it is just a ten minute walk from the famous Boudhanath Stupa.  It has 290 rooms and is set on 37 acres of landscaped grounds.  The hotel also features two swimming pools (one for adults only), tennis courts and a 1.6km jogging track.

Yak and Yeti Hotel

There are 270 rooms in this hotel, 120 are in what was once the Red Palace and the others in a new building constructed in the 1970's.  There is a fitness center, swimming pool, and tennis courts.

Soaltee Crowne Plaza

Set in 11 acres with manicured gardens it is 10 minutes away from city center and 15 minutes from the airport.  It features 283 rooms and you are just 6 km from Pashupatinath and 4 km from Durbar Square.

Radisson Hotel

There are 160 rooms and a rooftop swimming pool located in the Lazimpat region (next to Thamel) and only 9 km from the airport.

Hotel Shangri-La

Award-winning gardens make this 97 room hotel a wonderful spot.  It is also located in the Lazimpat region.  It has a lovely outdoor swimming pool.

Malla Hotel

This hotel is located between the Royal Palace and Thamel district and has 125 rooms and is only 20 minutes from the airport.  There are lovely gardens and a swimming pool.

Hotel de l'Annapurna

Established in 1965 it was the first five-star hotel in Nepal.  Located on 5.5 acres in the heart of Kathmandu with elegant lawns and one of the largest swimming pools in the city.

Everest Hotel

All 160 rooms offer great views of the Kathmandu Valley.  It is located 3km from the airport and 3km from city center.

Le Meridien Kathmandu

Located in the Gokarna Forest with Gokarna Forest Golf Resort and Spa.
